WE ARE DEDICATED TO FINDING THE CALMEST WATER IN THE TRUCKEE-TAHOE AREA

STAMPEDE RESERVOIR
“IS NOW OUR HOME BASE”

#1 choice of all our clients. By far the best lake in the area. Stampede is a favorite among the locals and for good reason. Stampede has lots to offer. Lots of parking, Full boat ramp with dock and is rarely crowded. This low key off grid lake is not far from Truckee (25 min) Stampede also offers the most wind protection of any lake in the area and its not uncommon to spot our Bald Eagles out there.

Meeting location: Stampede Reservoir Boat Ramp. Directions.

1st Option. Dirt Road = Closer Route from Truckee/Tahoe Donner.

2nd Option. Paved Road = Little Longer Route.

Option 1. Dirt Road. Take 89N towards Sierraville. Turn right on Hobart Mills Road. Follow to the “T” intersection and turn left on Dog Valley Road. Now it turns to dirt (the dirt road is only a few miles). Right when you hit pavement again turn left towards the boat ramp of Stampede. (If you get to the Dam, you went too far and missed the first left as it turned to pavement.)

Option 2. Pavement Route. Take 80E towards Reno. Take the Hirschdale exit, Make a left towards Boca/Stampede. Go across train tracks. Follow the road past Boca Reservoir. Turn left on Dog Valley Road and go over Stampede Dam. Make a right towards the boat ramp right before it turns to the dirt road.
